Taking care of your Holistic Health & Wellbeing since 2001

About K2U Therapies

The name and logo of K2U originated in 1999 as founder, Kathryn Robinson, was studying Sports Therapy and Aromatherapy.  It derived from the mountain, K2, as Kathryn wanted her logo to depict strength and durability.  From humble beginnings, the original logo being a child-like drawing of a mountain outline, a true photograph of K2 was purchased in 2011, by our favoured Design and Print company, Benchhut, who have over the years developed the logo to its present day format.

Founded in 2001 as a home based/mobile therapist, K2U Therapies moved to its first premises in 2011, relocating to the beautiful area of Blackwell Lane in 2017.  The emphasis is on holistic health and well-being, beginning with a full consultation.   Enjoy the calm, relaxing ambiance while a personalised treatment to suit your requirements, enhanced by our heated treatment couch, is delivered by a highly – qualified therapist.

The treatment menu features many of the popular therapies including Maternity wellbeing, alongside the less well known Daoyin Tao® (Chinese acupressure) and Reproductive Reflexology & Baby Reflexology.

Having taught therapies in local colleges since 2002, Kathryn Robinson realised the next part of her dream in February 2012, becoming accredited as a training academy for the awarding body, Vocational Training Charitable Trust, (VTCT) developing and delivering Level 3 qualifications in many Complementary therapies, taught over a period of time to meet the needs of the student and the criteria of the awarding body. Various study methods are used including Skype theory sessions for those unable to attend the training centre although attendance is mandatory for practical skills.

There are a number of workshops available at K2U Therapies Training Academy, whether you are interested in tips & techniques you can use in the home, a qualified therapist looking for additional skills or looking to gain a certificate in therapies such as Reiki, Crystals or Colour Therapy, we can tailor a workshop to meet your requirements”

We also offer staff training workshops to Nursing/Care homes, and schools.
